Shoe Addict

I’m not sure whether other kids are the doing the same thing, but it’s kind of weird and funny when Arissa has now become a shoe addict at such a young age! hehe..

Actually, dah lama dah perasan habit dia ni. Since age dia 6-7months lagi, dia memang suka pakai kasut walaupun dalam rumah dan kekadang sampai tido pun nak pakai kasut..Yang kelakarnya, kekadang dia pakai sebelah aje..Adrianna pun addicted jugak but not as chronic as Arissa.

Masa mula-mula dulu memang rasa pelik sebab dia kemaruk sangat dengan kasut. Tapi sekarang lagi pelik, sebab dia suka try kasut orang pulak. Tak kira kasut lelaki ke perempuan ke, semua dia bedal..The most embarrassing moment, bila bawa dia pergi rumah orang or pergi play area yang kena buka kasut. Sampai-sampai aja tempat tu, dia bukan excited nak main kat situ tapi pergi attack kasut budak-budak lain..Tak tentu arah nak try semua kasut..Kelakar gila..

Ada one time, I brought her to playground near Giant. Dia berkenan betul sandal colour pink and berbunga-bunga yang ada kat situ. Owner sandal tu, I think about 5-6 years old sampai 3 kali tukar tempat letak sandal dia. Takut sangat kena curi!

I have a feeling that her shoe's addiction is actually inherited from me and my mom..haha..When I was young, I always amazed at how many different shoes styles that my mom have. Maklum la,dulu-dulu dia selalu kena attend official function with my dad. Although my shoes collections are nothing compared to hers, but I have to admit that I can't resist myself whenever I passed by any shoes boutique..

Aiyo..how to handle this kind of situation? Help..I hope Arissa will not be the next Imelda Marcos when she grows up...

Food Tale

I was asked to search for foodies among our colleagues and write about our food experience for our upcoming newsletter. Nasi lemak was chosen because almost everyone loves it. It is universally loved by all races ie Malay, Chinese & Indian in Malaysia.

I brought them to CT Garden Nasi Lemak which located in Kg Baru. Not many people know this place compared to the infamous Nasi Lemak Antarabangsa. I was introduced to this place through a friend about 6-7 years ago.

Located near the Club Sultan Sulaiman, it opens from 6pm to 5am daily. The nasi lemak is wrapped in banana leaf and each packet costs only RM0.70! Each packet consists of a scoop of rice, a spoonful of sambal and a quarter of hardboiled egg.

What unique about this place is, it is divided into a few sections. The first section is the nasi lemak counter where you take a tray and takes as many packets as you want. That's Dhiya, of the foodies queuing at the counter..

A must try otak-otak.. You can get it at the same section as the nasi lemak..

The adds on section offers varities of dishes includes fried chicken, quails, tempe, beef and chicken rendang, pucuk paku, squid sambal, prawn sambal, cockles sambal to choose from. Our favourite are the crispy sambal tempe and unpeeled sambal petai..

Crispy Potato Chips, Cow's lung & Chicken Liver on skewers..

You can add lime squeeze to your own liking at the self service drink's counter

One packet is never enough..

List of prices

Each of us had 1 or 2 packets. We are not big eater actually..but we belasah all the side dishes..hehe..We had fried chicken, honey chicken, rendang chicken, prawn sambal, squid sambal, petai sambal, tempe and chicken liver. All in, it only costs us about RM8 per person.

If you are opt to sit outside, you can eat while enjoying the view of the Petronas Twins Towers which is very near to this place. Highly recommended!
